Trillium Farm is a residentail eco-village, a cultural, and educational retreat center, a grassroots conservation organization, and a wilderness based university accredited campus on 82 acres on the Little Applegate River in the Siskiyou Mountains of SW Oregon. The beauty of Trillium Farm is known for its breath-taking ridge-top views, lush greenery of the south facing meadows, pure watershed from the mountains filling year-round and seasonal ponds, and nearly one mile of Little Applegate River frontage. Trillium is surrounded by thousands of acres, offering spectacular hiking/biking trails and off-trail adventures. Our spring and summer internship program is focused in our Mother Garden, now our 30th year of organic gardening. We offer a rich experience into daily life in an intentional community while caring for our organic gardens and helping run the retreat center. Interns work approximatly 25 hours per week. In the Garden interns will learn about various organic gardening techniques, and help with a variety of building projects i.e. a new greenhouse and garden shed, a new bathouse and sauna, and remodeling projects using altenative methods. We are looking for highly motivated vegetarian folks who love the natural world approaching life with an attitude of integrity, humor, optimism, with a willingness to learn new ways of living, working and serving in the garden of community.
