The Organic Trade Association is a membership-based association, which represents the organic industry in the United States and Canada. OTA’s mission is to encourage global sustainability through promoting and protecting the growth of diverse organic trade. Established in 1985 as the Organic Foods Production Association of North America (OFPANA), the Organic Trade Association promotes organic products in the marketplace and protects the integrity of organic standards. As a member of the International Federation of Organic Agriculture Movements (IFOAM), the Organic Trade Association is an active participant in creating a global system of organic food production and verification. OTA programs include the All Things Organic Conference and Trade Show.
