Established in 1976, Flatbush Food Co-op is a natural foods cooperative located in the heart of Brooklyn, New York. Our retail outlet is a full-line whole foods grocery store with a strong emphasis on organic products. Flatbush Food Coop is a member-driven community project promoting cooperation, personal health and nutrition, a safe environment, alternative business practices, and community consciousness. We strive to provide products that are organically grown, minimally processed (and packaged), locally grown whenever possible, not harmful to the environment, from companies that are socially responsible, and of the highest quality at a fair price. You don’t need to be a member to shop at our coop–we’re open to the public–but members receive discounts and other benefits. We accept USDA food stamps, Visa, Master Card and NYCE ATM cards. Co-op members may pay by check. At our co-op you’ll find we offer fresh produce, poultry, meat fish and vegetarian alternatives, bulk items, herbs and spices, natural health and body care and supplements, dairy and vegan options, frozen foods and plenty of nonfood mercantile.
