The waterproof polyurethane backing is inert and does not emit any harmful chemicals to the body. The packaging and thread are also made of corn starch film and hemp.. The aim of the GOTS certification is to ensure the organic status of textiles from harvesting through environmentally & socially responsible manufacturing. This standard covers the production, processing, manufacturing, packaging, labelling, exportation, importation and distribution of all natural fibers.
