Alderspring Ranch produces grassfed organic beef on their mountain ranch in central Idaho. Cattle are never confined in a feedlot, and are fed a diet of 100% pasture and home-raised hay. Alderspring is a family operation, supplying beef to natural food stores and patrons in Idaho and Montana. Alderspring is also available by mail order from their website.

great meat
by Aude Iung-Lancrey
After watching the documentary Food Inc, my husband decided that he could no longer eat regular beef. I did some research for him and came upon Alderspring Ranch. We live in Wyoming, they are in Idaho, so the shipping costs are decent, about $20 for a $100 order, which arrives the next day.
Since I don't eat beef, I will share what my husband said: the meat quality is awesome, it tastes great, it feels leaner and healthier. Its color is a dark brown-red, like game meat. It cooks faster than regular beef, and it might spoil faster if left in fridge over 2-3 days.
Alderspring deserves 5 stars, not only for the quality of their product, but also for their husbandry, they process all animals themselves.
